Child Advocacy Solidarity Trust (CAST) M.A. 311/ 2011 is a non- partisan organization that was formed in 2011 to engage in advocacy and lobby for the advancement of the best interests of children and to promote and protect their fundamental rights with regards to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACRWC). The organization also seeks to work with other stakeholders in a bid to meet the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
Objectives
- Promoting child education and child participation through policy research, analysis and engagement.
- Monitoring and reporting on child human rights abuses and implementing support programs for child victims of human rights abuses.
- Promoting principles of child-friendly justice and developing strategic partnerships at national, regional and international level.
- To provide a forum for dialogue and information sharing among children across the social divide on issues around HIV/AIDS with the main thrust on child-headed families.
- To facilitate training and capacity building among peer educators and to assist in training child-minders who are involved either directly or indirectly with the welfare of children

To provide solidarity and support towards an empowered Zimbabwean child.
